Company:
At Arrive AI (Nasdaq: ARAI), we're not just building products—we're transforming the future of the Autonomous Last Mile™ (ALM). Over a decade ago, we started with a pioneering vision and patents for the first smart mailbox for drone delivery. Through systematic research, development, and deep customer collaboration, we've evolved to today where we deploy Arrive Points—a type of smart locker and mini-cross-docks for frictionless drone, robotic, and courier delivery and pickup, utilized from medical supplies to meals to e-commerce. Arrive AI is now growing and investing to scale an ALM network and platform of the future for all autonomous delivery providers, services, and customers. Arrive AI is the intelligent choice for the last inch of the Autonomous Last Mile™.
About Us:
We move fast, balancing strategy with opportunity. We are merit-based, valuing integrity, innovation, and treating others as we want to be treated. At Arrive AI, every employee is an equity holder and a business owner. Our shared vision, ownership, and culture fuel our mission to revolutionize autonomous delivery.
R&D Solutions Team
You’ll be joining Arrive AI’s R&D Solutions Team to push the boundaries of Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logistics by engineering and configuring innovative hardware platforms that serve the evolving needs of cargo and delivery organizations, healthcare systems, and more. This team turns bold ideas into functional, real-world systems by working across prototyping, testing, and deployment stages. Whether you're collaborating with external partners, building in-house systems, or supporting the field, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure of the Autonomous Last Mile. Based in Fishers, IN, this is your opportunity to innovate, solve tough problems, and do your life’s best work.
The Role:
We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the improvement and development of our next-generation autonomous delivery hardware. You’ll work across internal and external teams—engineering, product, field, and supply chain—to refine existing designs, prototype new features, and ensure the manufacturability of our systems. This is a hands-on role that blends design, documentation, and real-world problem solving.
What You’ll Do:
• Analyze and enhance the current AP3 build and other Arrive Point hardware.
• Partner with external design/manufacturing firms to optimize mechanical systems.
• Design, model, and prototype new features using CAD and other tools.
• Support product management and field teams with engineering insights.
• Review design documentation and contribute to test plans and field readiness.
• Balance speed and rigor in hardware innovation and iteration.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in robotics or autonomous systems.
• Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred) and experience designing for manufacturability.
• Proven success working with contract manufacturers and design partners.
• Comfort moving between design, hands-on prototyping, and documentation.
• Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments with evolving requirements.
• Familiarity with AI-powered or IoT-integrated hardware is a plus.
