Product Team 

You’ll be joining Arrive AI’s Product Team to revolutionize Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logistics by transforming over a decade of research, design, and customer collaboration into the world’s first autonomous logistics network and platform. Our fast-paced skunkworks team rapidly iterates, prototypes, and develops next-generation Arrive Point units, networks, and AI-powered platforms. By integrating cutting-edge hardware, robotics, IoT, software, data, AI, and manufacturing, we’re driving a bold roadmap for ALM innovation. The Role: 

We’re seeking a Lead AI Computer Scientist to set the vision, strategy, and technical direction for Arrive AI’s intelligence architecture — the algorithms, models, and systems that power our robotics, multi-modal interactions, and autonomous logistics platform. 

You’ll lead a team of AI researchers and engineers to design and adapt foundational models for real-world robotics, develop multi-modal systems that let our devices see, understand, and interact, and architect continuous learning loops that make our systems smarter over time. 

This role blends deep research expertise with practical deployment leadership — you’ll shape the frontier of robotics AI while ensuring it turns into working, safe, and scalable products. 

 What You’ll Do 

  • Set the AI Agenda: Define and lead Arrive AI’s AI/ML strategy for robotics, multi-modal intelligence, and foundational model integration. 
  • Lead Research & Development: Direct efforts on robotic motion, vision, and planning algorithms — from foundational research to field deployment. 
  • Drive Foundational Model Tuning: Guide adaptation of robotics and multi-modal foundational models (vision-language-action) for real-world tasks and safety-critical environments. 
  • Advance Multi-Modal Systems: Oversee development of multi-modal AI (vision, speech, gesture, environmental understanding) for intuitive end-user and physical-world interactions. 
  • Architect Continuous Learning Pipelines: Establish frameworks for data capture, edge case ingestion, retraining, and model evolution
  • Build & Lead the Team: Recruit, mentor, and inspire an elite AI team (AI scientists, applied ML engineers, and pipeline specialists). 
  • Bridge Research & Engineering: Collaborate with robotics, product, and platform teams to ensure research breakthroughs become robust, integrated solutions
  • Leverage NVIDIA & Next-Gen Tech: Bring tools like NVIDIA Isaac, Omniverse, Gr00T, Cosmo into simulation, training, and deployment workflows. 
  • Guide Strategic AI Initiatives: Translate advanced AI into roadmaps and milestones for leadership and external partners. 
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Track AI/robotics research, foundational model advances, and multi-modal developments — positioning Arrive AI as a category-defining innovator. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Leadership Experience: 8+ years in AI/ML and robotics-related roles, with 3+ years leading AI research or advanced development teams. 
  • AI Research Depth: PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, AI/ML, or Robotics — with a track record of published or implemented state-of-the-art research. 
  • Foundational Model Expertise: Demonstrated experience tuning, extending, and deploying foundational models for robotics and multi-modal interaction
  • Multi-Modal Mastery: Hands-on work with vision-language-action models combining text, vision, audio, and gesture for robotic understanding and decision-making. 
  • Learning Innovation: Knowledge of one-shot, few-shot, reinforcement, and transfer learning for real-world adaptation. 
  • Algorithmic Breadth: Experience in planning, navigation, control systems, perception, and reasoning for robots and autonomous systems. 
  • Data & Pipeline Acumen: Expertise designing data pipelines for training, retraining, and edge-case harvesting. 
  • Technical Toolset: Strong command of Python, C++, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), and platforms like ROS; NVIDIA tool familiarity is a big plus. 
  • Collaborative Leadership: Skilled at working across hardware, software, and product teams to embed intelligence into physical systems. 
  • Innovator’s Mindset: Ability to see around corners — anticipating future capabilities and technology curves to align Arrive AI with where robotics is going next. 

 Additional: 

  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month. 
  • Responsibilities include all other duties as assigned.
