Company:

At Arrive AI (Nasdaq: ARAI), we're not just building products—we're transforming the future of the Autonomous Last Mile™ (ALM). Over a decade ago, we started with a pioneering vision and patents for the first smart mailbox for drone delivery. Through systematic research, development, and deep customer collaboration, we've evolved to today where we deploy Arrive Points—a type of smart locker and mini-cross-docks for frictionless drone, robotic, and courier delivery and pickup, utilized from medical supplies to meals to e-commerce. Arrive AI is now growing and investing to scale an ALM network and platform of the future for all autonomous delivery providers, services, and customers. Arrive AI is the intelligent choice for the last inch of the Autonomous Last Mile™.

About Us:

We move fast, balancing strategy with opportunity. We are merit-based, valuing integrity, innovation, and treating others as we want to be treated. At Arrive AI, every employee is an equity holder and a business owner. Our shared vision, ownership, and culture fuel our mission to revolutionize autonomous delivery.

Product Team

You’ll be joining Arrive AI’s Product Team to revolutionize Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logistics by transforming over a decade of research, design, and customer collaboration into the world’s first autonomous logistics network and platform. Our fast-paced skunkworks team rapidly iterates, prototypes, and develops next-generation Arrive Point units, networks, and AI-powered platforms. By integrating cutting-edge hardware, robotics, IoT, software, data, AI, and manufacturing, we’re driving a bold roadmap for ALM innovation. Based in Fishers, IN, we offer a unique opportunity to do your life’s best work, shape the future, and share in the success.

 The Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to lead the vision and execution of Arrive Point hardware design—balancing form, function, materials innovation, and scalable manufacturing. Beyond aesthetics, this role is deeply involved in guiding materials choices, influencing robotics integration decisions, and ensuring designs align with real-world engineering and supply chain realities

This role is perfect for an experienced designer who thrives on hands-on prototyping, cross-functional collaboration, and systems thinking—and who can leverage AI-driven design tools to accelerate creativity, experimentation, and decision-making.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Design Thinking: Drive the conceptualization and refinement of industrial designs across the full lifecycle of Arrive Point hardware—from ideation to production.
  • Guide Materials Decisions: Research, evaluate, and select materials and finishes that optimize durability, cost, environmental impact, and manufacturability for high-volume production.
  • Influence Robotics Integration: Collaborate with robotics and hardware engineers to ensure product designs support robotic interactions, mounting systems, and serviceability—and help guide key tradeoffs in product architecture.
  • Prototype Rapidly: Build and iterate prototypes—experimenting, testing, and improving designs to move faster from concept to product.
  • Ensure Product Scalability: Translate ideas into manufacturing-ready designs, factoring in materials sourcing, unit economics, and production ramp-up strategies
  • Champion User-Centric Design: Apply human factors, Jobs-to-be-Done, and multimodal interaction principles to create intuitive and accessible product experiences.
  • AI-Enhanced Design Process: Harness AI workflows like generative design, simulation, and data-driven prototyping to speed up iteration and enhance creativity.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, developers, data scientists, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to align designs, business goals, and platform capabilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Design Experience: 5+ years in industrial design for hard-tech products.
  • Essential Skills: Expertise in full product design lifecycle in hardware environments, including systems architecture and production.
  • Materials & Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong background in material selection, sourcing, and manufacturing processes—with an ability to balance cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Robotics & Integration Awareness: Experience working with (or alongside) robotics, automation, or mechatronics teams to ensure designs integrate smoothly with robotic systems.
  • Tools: Proficiency with CAD, 3D modeling, and design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360).
  • Innovation Mindset: Able to solve complex design challenges using formal design processes, systems thinking, and creativity
  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong communicator able to lead design direction and partner with engineering and supply chain teams.
  • AI-Driven Design Skills: Experience—or strong enthusiasm for—AI-enhanced design tools like generative design, simulation, and digital prototyping.

 Additional:

  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month.
  • Responsibilities include all other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

  • Salary is market competitive with high equity incentive – be an owner and grow with Arrive AI.
