Company:

At Arrive AI (Nasdaq: ARAI), we're not just building products—we're transforming the future of the Autonomous Last Mile™ (ALM). Over a decade ago, we started with a pioneering vision and patents for the first smart mailbox for drone delivery. Through systematic research, development, and deep customer collaboration, we've evolved to today where we deploy Arrive Points—a type of smart locker and mini-cross-docks for frictionless drone, robotic, and courier delivery and pickup, utilized from medical supplies to meals to e-commerce. Arrive AI is now growing and investing to scale an ALM network and platform of the future for all autonomous delivery providers, services, and customers. Arrive AI is the intelligent choice for the last inch of the Autonomous Last Mile™.

About Us:

We move fast, balancing strategy with opportunity. We are merit-based, valuing integrity, innovation, and treating others as we want to be treated. At Arrive AI, every employee is an equity holder and a business owner. Our shared vision, ownership, and culture fuel our mission to revolutionize autonomous delivery.

Product Team

You’ll be joining Arrive AI’s Product Team to revolutionize Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logistics by transforming over a decade of research, design, and customer collaboration into the world’s first autonomous logistics network and platform. Our fast-paced skunkworks team rapidly iterates, prototypes, and develops next-generation Arrive Point units, networks, and AI-powered platforms. By integrating cutting-edge hardware, robotics, IoT, software, data, AI, and manufacturing, we’re driving a bold roadmap for ALM innovation. Based in Fishers, IN, we offer a unique opportunity to do your life’s best work, shape the future, and share in the success.

 The Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and refine the mechanical systems that form the core of our Arrive Point hardware. You’ll work on everything from robotics interfaces and actuators to HVAC, power management, and structural components, ensuring our products are robust, manufacturable, and ready for real-world use

This role requires someone who is comfortable leading mechanical decisions while collaborating with electrical, robotics, and systems engineers—and who can design with an eye toward AI integration, creating mechanical systems that work hand-in-hand with intelligent control and automation.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Design Mechanical Systems: Create robust, scalable designs for Arrive Points—covering enclosures, moving mechanisms, and robotics interfaces.
  • Design Digitally First: Use CAD, simulation tools, and digital prototypes to concept, validate, and iterate designs before physical builds — accelerating development and reducing costly revisions.
  • Lead Component Integration: Engineer how actuators, HVAC systems, batteries, and power controls fit seamlessly into product architectures.
  • Prototype & Test: Build, iterate, and refine mechanical prototypes, running performance tests and improving designs based on real-world feedback.
  • Optimize for Production: Design for manufacturability and scalability, aligning with suppliers, materials, and production constraints.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner closely with electrical, robotics, and systems engineers to ensure unified, high-performing designs.
  • Tackle Complex Problems: Innovate around mechanical challenges in robotics, automation, and environmental performance.
  • AI-Ready Mechanical Design: Design components and systems that integrate seamlessly with AI-powered controls and robotics intelligence—enabling smarter, more adaptive products.

What We're Looking For:

  • Engineering Experience: 5+ years in mechanical engineering for product development, ideally in hard-tech or robotics-related products.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.), simulation tools, and mechanical analysis methods
  • Simulation-Driven Mindset: Experience using digital modeling, CAD, and simulation as core tools for design exploration, optimization, and rapid iteration. Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.) and engineering simulation tools (FEA, dynamics, thermal, or control system simulation) to validate designs virtually.
  • Preferred Expertise: Experience with robot design, actuators, HVAC systems, power control, or battery integration is a big plus.
  • Cross-Functional Comfort: Skilled at working alongside ME, EE, robotics, and systems engineers—aligning efforts and solving challenges collaboratively.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical, resourceful, and eager to tackle complex mechanical issues with first-principles thinking.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a rapid iteration, startup environment where designs evolve quickly.
  • AI-Driven Design Mindset: Excited to work on products where mechanical systems and AI come together, and able to design for that convergence

 Additional:

  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month.
  • Responsibilities include all other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

  • Salary is market competitive with high equity incentive – be an owner and grow with Arrive AI.
