Company:

At Arrive AI (Nasdaq: ARAI), we're not just building products—we're transforming the future of the Autonomous Last Mile™ (ALM). Over a decade ago, we started with a pioneering vision and patents for the first smart mailbox for drone delivery. Through systematic research, development, and deep customer collaboration, we've evolved to today where we deploy Arrive Points—a type of smart locker and mini-cross-docks for frictionless drone, robotic, and courier delivery and pickup, utilized from medical supplies to meals to e-commerce. Arrive AI is now growing and investing to scale an ALM network and platform of the future for all autonomous delivery providers, services, and customers. Arrive AI is the intelligent choice for the last inch of the Autonomous Last Mile™.

About Us:

We move fast, balancing strategy with opportunity. We are merit-based, valuing integrity, innovation, and treating others as we want to be treated. At Arrive AI, every employee is an equity holder and a business owner. Our shared vision, ownership, and culture fuel our mission to revolutionize autonomous delivery.

Product Team

You’ll be joining Arrive AI’s Product Team to revolutionize Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logistics by transforming over a decade of research, design, and customer collaboration into the world’s first autonomous logistics network and platform. Our fast-paced skunkworks team rapidly iterates, prototypes, and develops next-generation Arrive Point units, networks, and AI-powered platforms. By integrating cutting-edge hardware, robotics, IoT, software, data, AI, and manufacturing, we’re driving a bold roadmap for ALM innovation. Based in Fishers, IN, we offer a unique opportunity to do your life’s best work, shape the future, and share in the success.

 The Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and refine the mechanical systems that form the core of our Arrive Point hardware. You’ll work on everything from robotics interfaces and actuators to HVAC, power management, and structural components, ensuring our products are robust, manufacturable, and ready for real-world use

This role requires someone who is comfortable leading mechanical decisions while collaborating with electrical, robotics, and systems engineers—and who can design with an eye toward AI integration, creating mechanical systems that work hand-in-hand with intelligent control and automation.

  • What You’ll Do: Design Advanced Mechanical & Lighting Systems: Lead mechanical and optical integration for Automatic Light and ADAD safety systems, designing enclosures, mounting structures, and actuator interfaces using Catia V5, Siemens NX, and Alias Automotive Studio. Ensure alignment between mechanical, electronic, and optical components for maximum performance and manufacturability.
  • Design Digitally First: Use advanced CAD, FEA, and digital simulation tools within PLM systems (Dassault, Siemens TeamCenter) to validate designs early—covering materials, tolerances, thermal management, and vibration performance before physical builds.
  • Integrate Mechatronic Components: Engineer seamless integration of actuators, sensors, cameras, and lighting elements within ADAD frameworks. Collaborate closely with robotics, AI, and electrical engineering teams to ensure precise system motion, control, and feedback performance.
  • Prototype & Test: Build and iterate functional prototypes for Automatic Light modules, drive-assist sensors, and mechanical sub-systems. Conduct validation testing for environmental, vibration, and regulatory compliance, ensuring designs meet or exceed automotive standards.
  • Optimize for Production: Apply VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) and Design-to-Cost principles to scale from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on materials, tooling, and production feasibility for injection-molded, sheet-metal, and LED-integrated assemblies.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with optical, electrical, and AI engineers to ensure unified system behavior between mechanical motion and smart, adaptive lighting control. Translate OEM studio and design intent into technically feasible production solutions.
  • AI-Driven Mechanical Design: Create mechanical architectures that support AI-enabled perception and adaptive response, allowing the product to adjust beam patterns, angles, and sensor visibility dynamically based on driving conditions and environment.
  • Visualization & Communication: Develop high-impact design presentations and animations using KeyShot, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro to visualize system function for internal teams, OEM partners, and trade shows like CES and NAIAS.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years in mechanical design and product development for automotive lighting, robotics, or ADAS systems.
  • Expertise in Catia V5, Siemens NX, Alias Automotive Studio, and KeyShot rendering.
  • Strong understanding of LED integration, optics, and regulatory lighting requirements.
  • Experience with Automatic Light systems, ADAD/ADAS safety integration, and cross-domain collaboration with AI and electrical teams.
  • Proven track record of turning conceptual designs into production-ready assemblies through iterative CAD and prototype validation.
  • Skilled communicator capable of creating technical presentations, 3D visualizations, and executive-ready summaries for design reviews.
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment where mechanical and intelligent systems converge.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Systems Level Design and Integration

 Additional:

  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month.
  • Responsibilities include all other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

  • Salary is market competitive with high equity incentive – be an owner and grow with Arrive AI.
