Product Team 

You’ll be joining Arrive AI’s Product Team to revolutionize Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logistics by transforming over a decade of research, design, and customer collaboration into the world’s first autonomous logistics network and platform. Our fast-paced skunkworks team rapidly iterates, prototypes, and develops next-generation Arrive Point units, networks, and AI-powered platforms. By integrating cutting-edge hardware, robotics, IoT, software, data, AI, and manufacturing, we’re driving a bold roadmap for ALM innovation.  The Role: 

We’re seeking an AI Computer Scientist for Robotics to advance robotic intelligence, multi-modal perception, and planning models for the Arrive Point platform and the ALM ecosystem. 

This isn’t simply an implementation role — it’s a frontier research and applied AI position. You’ll be responsible for developing and tuning foundational models for robotics motion, vision, and reasoning, while also leading work in multi-modal models that combine vision, language, gestures, and environmental context for seamless human-robot and robot-world interactions. 

You’ll create algorithms, pipelines, and training frameworks that allow our autonomous systems to: 

  • See (computer vision, 3D mapping, object detection) 
  • Understand (multi-modal comprehension of tasks, user intent, and environmental cues) 
  • Plan & Act (motion planning, decision-making under uncertainty) 

 What You’ll Do: 

  • Invent New Algorithms: Research and develop AI algorithms for motion planning, computer vision, and decision-making for drones, cobots, and autonomous devices. 
  • Multi-Modal Model Development: Design, fine-tune, and deploy multi-modal foundational models that integrate vision, voice, text, gesture, and physical-world signals for intuitive end-user and environmental interactions. 
  • Tame Foundational Models: Adapt and extend robotics and multi-modal foundational models for real-world deployments, balancing lab performance with production constraints. 
  • Lead One-Shot & Few-Shot Training: Build frameworks for one-shot and few-shot learning to let robots generalize new skills from limited data
  • Build Continuous Learning Pipelines: Architect data systems to collect real-world data, capture edge cases, and feed back into model retraining for continuous improvement. 
  • Design Planning & Reasoning Engines: Work on algorithms for real-time planning, navigation, and multi-agent coordination, ensuring systems can make smart decisions on the fly. 
  • Leverage Simulation Tools: Use NVIDIA Isaac, Omniverse, Cosmo, and Gr00T for training, simulating, and validating models before physical deployment. 
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside robotics engineers, software developers, and product designers to turn advanced AI into practical, safe, and delightful user experiences. 
  • Contribute Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of research in robotics AI, multi-modal interaction, and foundation models — and help Arrive AI shape the industry narrative. 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Advanced Education: PHD (or equivalent research depth) in Computer Science, AI/ML, Robotics, or a closely related field. 
  • Robotics AI Research: Proven contributions in robotic perception, planning, control, or multi-modal AI (papers, patents, open-source contributions, or industry breakthroughs). 
  • Multi-Modal Model Expertise: Experience working with vision-language-action models and combining multiple modalities for user interaction and physical-world understanding. 
  • Foundational Model Skills: Hands-on experience adapting and tuning foundational models for robotic and multi-modal use cases. 
  • Learning Innovation: Depth in one-shot, few-shot, reinforcement learning, and transfer learning for robotics or automation. 
  • Data Systems Mastery: Experience designing data pipelines for AI — from collection to annotation to edge-case ingestion and continuous model retraining. 
  • Programming & Tools: Advanced skills in Python and C++, plus frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ROS; NVIDIA ecosystem knowledge (Isaac, Omniverse, Gr00T) is a major plus. 
  • Domain Awareness: Familiarity with IoT, collaborative robots (cobots), and edge AI systems that blend digital intelligence with physical devices. 
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to turn messy real-world robotics challenges into structured AI problems and solve them with elegant, scalable approaches. 
  • Collaborative Spirit: Excels at working across disciplines — bridging deep research with engineering realities. 
  • Adaptability: Energized by startup speed and the chance to take research breakthroughs into the field fast. 

 Additional: 

  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month. 
  • Responsibilities include all other duties as assigned.
